History Underwater: My Wreck Dive Experience with Amadive.|Diving a Sunken Ship in Vietnam: My Wreck Dive with the Amadive Team.|The Ghost Ship of Con Dao: Wreck Diving with Amadive Con Dao.
When I booked my dive trip to Con Dao, I was picturing beautiful reefs. And I found them. But I saw something on the Amadive itinerary: **Diving a Sunken Wreck**. My heart leaped. This wasn't just a typical dive; this was exploration into the past.
I have to admit, I felt nervous. Wreck diving requires extra care. But the team at **Amadive** was fantastic. Their PADI guides provided a detailed briefing. We covered our safety procedures, the history of the sunken ship, and what we would see. Being in a small group instantly made me feel safe.
Descending was magical. First, it was just a shadow in the blue, then suddenly the wreck came into view. It was huge. The ship is now a bustling new home, covered in corals and swarming with fish. I spotted big groupers peeking from the cargo hold, and lionfish patrolling the cracks. That feeling of gliding next to this silent, ghostly structure is indescribable—eerie, beautiful, and humbling at the same time. It truly is a piece of history under the water.
For any an Open Water diver (or higher) visiting Con Dao and looking read more for something more the standard reef, I cannot recommend this **Con Dao wreck dive** highly enough. It was the absolute highlight of my Vietnam trip. A massive thank you to the **Amadive Con Dao** team for their professionalism and for making this incredible adventure possible and safe.
